Gareth Southgate revealed future England managers may have to pick players from the Championshipafter complaining about this native talent stagnant in the Premier League.
The England manager believes the money the Premier League elite are spending on players in the transfer market has limited a homegrown English talent’s chances of making it off the academy.
Southgate last picked a player from the Championship in 2018 when he made his first call to Mason Mount while on loan at Derby. This is what an England team would look like if filled with current league players.
