Mitchell Robinson said he’s been through “the perfect storm” over the past few weeks and was “just wacky” in his initial comments afterwards. curtsy Center complained about its recent use in a social media post.
After Knicks 123-107 win at the Portland Trail Blazers On Wednesday night, Robinson wrote on Snapchat, “Tired of being out there just for the cardio fam like I want to play basketball to really just waste my time and energy,” he wrote, finishing the message with one Palm emoji.
In a second post, he wrote: “Get lost for a while”.
He responded with a comment on his Snapchat on Friday Instagram post from Knicks Fan TV about his original message. The first comment that came in the early hours of the morning was this:
“Yo, it’s really gotten to the point where I’ve been going through what I call the perfect storm after the Portland game for the past few weeks. I just freaked out like I had a baby along the way. I’ve got family issues, I just need to find a way to get myself back under control when my head has been clear. I was good after having 3 bad games. I just started thinking about all the things I had and kept it going. I’ll find out, but I’ll be fine. I handled it differently and didn’t want any bad blood, I just need to find myself.
About six hours later, Robinson posted a second comment on the post:
“See most of you want to say that I’m childish or petty or whatever but let me blow this up I can be selfish, shoot 80 shots and not play defense but that’s not me, Even though I’m giving up my body for this shit, y’all say I’m injury prone. All of my injuries came from another game on defense. Don’t make me defend like I know I can and don’t play hard. I’ll never get hurt again but I love this shit too much Not to risk getting hurt I’m thinking about hurting myself or whatever. I just jump in the fire and whatever happens happens fuck it and play ball if we mean business although most of you don’t have to say that play better I’ve been playing how they want me to for 5 years .”
Robinson played 21 minutes in Wednesday’s win against Portland, finishing with two points on 1-of-2 from the floor (0-of-2 from the free-throw line), with four rebounds, a steal and a block.
