The menu for the Champions Dinner in honor of the ruler master tournament Winner Scottie Scheffler has been fired, and for Scheffler he doesn’t expect hiccups as the PGA Tour members take their places against their former competitors, who now play at the LIV Golf Circuit.
The traditional dinner menu was released on Wednesday, starting with “Scottie-style” cheeseburger sliders and cracker shrimp.

Diners are then dipped in tortilla soup, followed by an option of Texas rib eye steak or blackened redfish, and dessert is a warm chocolate chip cookie served with ice cream.

“I haven’t decided what I’m going to say yet,” Scheffler said during a media call Wednesday via Golf Week. “I’m aware I have to say a few words, but for the most part it’s kind of a group thing. I’m not exactly sure what the mood will be like, but I think we’re all there to play in the tournament and celebrate the Masters and celebrate everyone who’s past champions.”
The Champions Dinner is a tradition that began in 1952 when nine-time Major winner Ben Hogan won Augusta National 1951 and 1953 decided to invite all previous winners to a pre-tournament dinner.

Since then, all previous winners of the legendary Green Jacket have been invited to Augusta National on the Tuesday before round one for a menu selected by the previous year’s winner.

This means that previous winners, such as phil mickelson, Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson, who have all switched Saudi Arabia-backed rivals, will be in attendance.
“I think dinner will be very special for all of us so we can get together again and I’m sure we’ll put all that other stuff aside and have a good time together,” Scheffler said Wednesday.
“Just because guys have joined another tour doesn’t mean I’m not friends with them anymore and think differently about them as people. They’re still my friends and we’re all just going to hang out and have a good time.”

Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia and Charl Schawartzel, all former Augusta winners, will also be seated at the table.
The mood surrounding dinner seems like players from both sides acknowledge the awkwardness of the situation but will be there to honor Scheffler.
Watson joked in January that he would sit wherever he was asked to, even if he had to “sit outside and just stare out the window”. Tiger Woods said last month he wasn’t sure about the “reaction” from those in attendance, but added it was important “that Scottie is honored correctly.”
