We’re a little over halfway through March and Florida Football’s recruiting efforts continue as the spring schedule continues to unfold. Billy Napier and Co. have worked hard to get the best prep candidates on campus to see what the swamp has to offer, and recently another big name added Gainesville to their itinerary.
Four star wide receiver Chance Robinson from Fort Lauderdale (Florida) St. Thomas Aquinas recently said Gators Online that he plans to visit the Orange and Blue on March 25 – his first face-to-face meeting with the Gators since receiving an offer from the former assistant coach Keary Colbert back in January. He previously competed in last year’s Orange and Blue Game.
Colbert had spearheaded efforts to lure the high school junior to Florida before he departed for the NFL, leaving the running backs quality control coach behind Benedict Hypopolite and assistant coaches of the recipients David Doker responsible until the arrival of the wide receivers coach Billy Gonzalez.
“It’s still good. All employees still reach me. Coach Hyppolite always works with the recipients and gets through to me. He’s also a South Florida guy,” Robinson told Gators Online.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pound pass catcher has been considering official visits to see that Georgia Bulldogs, Chestnut Tigers And Penn State Nittany Lions while you also get offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan WolverinesMiami Hurricanes, LSU Tiger, Tennessee volunteers and South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.
Robinson is ranked 107th overall and 19th nationally at his position 247sport association while On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 92 and 17, respectively. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has the Florida State Seminoles ahead of the rest with a 37.8% chance of landing him, while the Hurricanes, Gators and Nittany Lions have 22, 4%, 10.1% and 8.4% lag behind.
