Justin Bieber shows mobility in his face after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Justin Bieber gives his fans an update.

After I revealed that his face was partially paralyzed after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome Last June, the Grammy winner, 29, showed off the mobility in his face via an Instagram Story posted Wednesday.

“Wait for it,” he wrote of the short clip while moving his eyes from side to side and then smiling broadly as the Tems song “Ice T” played in the background.

The Mayo Clinic explains that the disease occurs when an outbreak of shingles affects the facial nerve near the ear. In addition to facial paralysis, hearing loss can also occur and requires immediate treatment.

The clinic says that prompt treatment of the syndrome “reduces the risk of complications, which can include permanent facial muscle weakness and numbness.”

As Bieber revealed his health diagnosis In June, the singer said his symptoms included not being able to blink either eye and move his nostril or smile on one side of his face.

“This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish that wasn’t the case but obviously my body is telling me to slow down and I hope you understand that and I will use this time to rest and relax and come back to 100 percent again so I can do what I was born to do,” he said.

At the time, he added that he was taking time to work on his health and was working on “facial exercises to get my face back to normal.”

“It’s going to get back to normal. It’s just about time,” Bieber shared. “We don’t know how long it will be, but it will be fine.”

After Resuming his Justice World Tour in Julywhich was postponed after the announcement, he previously appeared on six different shows pull the plug on his remaining tour dates.

“It really cost me a lot,” he wrote in a Statement shared in his Instagram story in September. “Last weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and gave everything I had to the people of Brazil. After walking off stage, exhaustion took over and I realized that I must now make my health a priority. So I’ll be taking a break from touring for now. I’ll be fine, but I need time to rest and get better.”

Bieber continued, “I was so proud to bring this show and our message of justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support through all of this! I love you all passionately!”
