'Blue Bloods' renewed stars, producers get 25 percent pay cut

The Stars and Producers of Blue blood will see less green.

CBS has renewed the venerable cop-drama for its 14th season after the cast and producers agreed to take a 25 percent pay cut.

Sources close to the Tom Selleck production say the stars and key producers have all agreed to the pay cut to keep the cop drama going Friday night and keep the hundreds of production staff busy for another season.

With the renewal Blue blood is ranked as the second longest-running current scripted series on CBS NCIS: Los Angeles this season ends after 14 seasons. Only the flagship NCIS serieswhich was recently renewed for its 21st season, ran longer than aired Blue blood.

The show is the show’s third-biggest drama in terms of total viewers, averaging more than 9.5 million viewers per episode. With late viewing, that number rises to over 11 million.
